Q2: What do estate agents generally charge for marketing a property -i.e. how much cheaper is our service?

A: Estate agents generally charge between 1 and 1.5% commission on the sale of your property, so on a property that sells for £100,000 their charge will be between £1000 and £1500.

Q: Does the vendor have to pay for a valuation of their property?
